The Sacred Circle is a self -supporting sisterhood of recovering women, dedicated to reclaiming the Goddess & committed to the healing of our lives. Founded in 1987 by Rev. JoAnna C. Medina, the Circle brings like-minded women together to Pass the Rattle; share experience, strength, hope; honor Women's Mysteries and Rites of Passage, and celebrate the power of the Feminine Spirit by coming together for various Circles, Retreats Gatherings & Celebrations throughout the year. Our vision is to provide a safe sanctuary for recovering sisters who embrace the ancient ways of Mother Nature and we welcome all who wish to join us on our recovering & reclaiming journey. When the Women Heal, the Earth Heals! We gather in the spirit of love & trust to share our recovery, discovery & empowerment. Our purpose is to provide unity & support to all women-born-women who are reclaiming the ancient ways of earth & spirit to heal from the insidious ways of Patriarchy. We come together to share our personal stories, identify common problems and solutions, and pass along the many benefits gained by honoring a Goddess - centered Spirituality. We acknowledge there are many avenues of healing and many paths to self discovery, but we choose a path that celebrates the Divine Feminine because it restores balance and mirrors our many facets, gifts, and mysteries as women. In The Sacred Circle... We recognize the many compulsive disorders brought about by living in a dysfunctional world. Our personal stories reveal Internalized Oppression; Codependency, Family Dysfunction, various abuses, compulsions, allergies, imbalances and addictions related to food, money, sex, work and various substances including alcohol and other drugs, but our common desire is to reclaim our power and sacredness as we strive to live in harmony with ourselves and others. .... Recovery in The Sacred Circle In the Circle... Recovery is defined as a return to the Authentic Self through a transformational journey that restores us to wholeness on every level of being... Physical, Mental, Emotional, Spiritual. Many diseases & disorders are caused by inner & outer disharmony rooted in delusions of the mind and dysfunctional patterns of living. These mindsets are a result of our conditioning in Patriarchy or other unhealthy systems that disconnect us from our divine spirit within & sever our ability to flow with the natural forces and cycles of life. In the Circle we are reclaiming the deep wisdom of body & soul by letting go of all beliefs that stand in the way of our wholeness and by honoring an ancient path that reconnects us with our deeper mysteries and natural spiritual powers as Daughters of the Earth.
